Course summary

In this course students will be able to focus on traditional and contemporary forms of fine art practices including painting, printmedia, sculpture, electronic art and photography. Many of the graduates have risen to prominence as individual or collaborative arts and crafts practitioners, while others have used their training in associated areas including public art, art curating, graphic design, textiles, illustration, web design, museum design, theatre, community arts and arts administration at national, state, regional and commercial galleries. Students can study this as a part of a double major with 3D Design, Textiles, Art and Design Studies. The various career opportunities are artist, craftsperson, professional artist, freelance artist, arts administrator, gallery curator, performer, graphic designer, illustrator, web designer, museum designer, interior designer, teacher, picture framer, art historian and tour guide.

Entry requirement for international students

Students are required to submit a portfolio. They must also satisfy the English language requirements such as IELTS academic (International English Language Testing System) Writing score of 6.0, Speaking score of 6.0, Reading score of 6.0, Listening score of 6.0, Overall band score of 6.0 and TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) paper based score of 550, Internet based (20 in each section) score of 80 and minimum test of written English (TWE) 4.5 and CUTE (Curtin Uni Test of English) - C.
