Course summary

This course is designed for students interested in working with people challenged by moderate to severe behavioural difficulties. They will learn about the frameworks and practical techniques required for dealing effectively with child, adolescent and adult clients, many of whom are diagnosed with developmental disabilities or learning disorders. Students will be qualified for a career as a case manager, disability instructor or behaviour management worker in human service facilities and organisations that provide programs for people with challenging behaviour.

Entry requirement for international students

Students must have successful completion of Year 12 or equivalent. They must also have IELTS score of 7.0 (no sub score less than 6.5); TOEFL score 627 (TWE 5); (CBT 263, essay 5.0; iBT 108 min. all sections 26) for direct entry.
