Course summary
This course offers students the opportunity to extend their knowledge and skills in a range of research areas within Biomedical Sciences. Students conduct and report on a research project under the supervision of a staff member with the appropriate expertise. The program gives students an appreciation of the professional standards required of the practising biomedical scientist, and the ethical challenges presented by modern science and technology. Students participate in research teams, are introduced to advanced experimental and literature research methods and have opportunities to make contact with the wider scientific community in the local region, elsewhere in Australia and overseas.
Entry requirement for international students
Students should have satisfied IELTS (Academic Training only) score of 6.0 (or better) (no component lower than 5.5), Pearson (PTA) score of 50 (with no score lower than 50), TOEFL (paper based) score of 550 (or better) (with minimum test of written English score of 4.5), TOEFL (electronic) score of 213 (or better) (with essay rating of at least 4.5) and TOEFL (internet based) score of 80 (or better) (with 19 minimum in all bands).
