Course summary
This course prepares students for careers in civil engineering management, leadership, human resource management, and project management. It includes major studies in civil engineering, and a business major in marketing, international resource management or human resource management. Major areas of study includes: civil engineering, environmental engineering, engineering, economics, law, human resource management, accounting, organisational behaviour, marketing, information technology, statistics. On completion, graduates are well-placed to work in positions that demand skills in both engineering and business; many engineers find management positions relatively soon after graduating.
Entry requirement for international students
Students must have completed Mathematics determined to be equivalent to the Australian VCE Units 3 and 4 Mathematical Methods (either) and Specialist Mathematics or Physics. They must have completed Australian year 12 or equivalent to other countries. They must also satisfy one of the following English language requirements: IELTS (Academic) score of 6.0 with no individual band score less than 6.0 or TOEFL Paper-based Test: a minimum score of 550 with a score of 5 or better in the Test of Written English or TOEFL Computer-based Test: a minimum score of 213 with a score of 5 in essay writing or TOEFL Internet-based Test: a minimum score of 80 with no individual score less than 20 or satisfactory completion of an English language subject at Year 12 or equivalent level which have been completed in the last two years and at an academic level acceptable to the University or approved equivalent.
