Course summary
This course is designed for students wishing to pursue a career in accounting or financial management, either as an accountant in private practice or employed in industry, commerce or the public sector. Students who wish to satisfy the educational requirements for admission to the major professional accounting bodies (CPA Australia, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA) and the National Institute of Accountants (NIA)) may do so by including relevant units in their program of study. The Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) will provide the student with the opportunity for an exciting career which offers challenge, variety and job satisfaction; an opportunity to travel and work overseas and the opportunity to diversify the students career into various sectors of the business community.
Entry requirement for international students
Students should have assumed knowledge is any two units of English. Recommended studies: Any two units of Mathematics. For some units in the economics, finance and quantitative statistics areas it is recommended that students have previously studied mathematics.
