Course summary

This course is widely regarded as one of the most respected courses within the industry, and it provides a comprehensive construction education. The course satisfies all the main accreditation requirements for the disciplines of construction management and quantity surveying. Students can also study sub-majors in areas of particular interest. Examples include sub-majors in advanced project management, construction finance/economics and architectural studies. The course also provides skills and knowledge that can be applied in other industries such as mining, petrochemicals and infrastructure development. The course offers a unique blend of theory and practice that incorporates concurrent industrial experience with the end result being that students graduate as highly skilled and sought-after professionals. This course is concerned with the management of all aspects of the construction process, including business management, construction management, design management, project management, quantity surveying, contract administration and property development. It delivers all the recognised competencies for construction project management professionals while introducing the prospect of diversifying into project management.

Entry requirement for international students

Applicants must have completed an Australian Year 12 qualification, Australian Qualifications Framework Diploma, or equivalent Australian or overseas qualification at the required level. Admission to the combined degree is on merit according to the admissions policy for the Bachelor of Construction Project Management (C10214). There is a range of entry levels to the various language and culture programs. Students are admitted to the International Studies program with no guarantee of entry to a specific major, although every effort is made to meet students' preferences. Students must fulfil the following English language proficiency of academic IELTS test score of 6.5 overall (with a writing score of 6.0) or TOEFL Test Paper Based score of 575 overall with TWE of 4.5 or TOEFL Test Internet Based score of 90 overall with essay writing of 21 or DEEP Program (Completion of the Insearch Direct Entry English Program at C level) or PTE score of 64.
