Course summary
This course is offered by the Faculty of Business and the Faculty of Law and is available at Hobart. The first year only is also offered at the Launceston and Cradle Coast campus. The objectives of the combined degree courses are those of the component degrees. Reference should be made to the Bachelor of Economics and Bachelor of Laws course entries. Graduates of combined degrees could expect to find open to them all the career paths that are open to graduates of the component degree courses.
Entry requirement for international students
Students must pass the first year of their BEc degree, including the units LAW121 Introduction to Law and LAW122 Legal Systems, available at Hobart, Launceston and the Cradle Coast Campus, or the academic equivalent. International students whose native is not English should have the following English qualifications: IELTS (Academic) - 6.0 (no individual band less than 5.5); TOEFL (PBT) 550 TWE 4.5; TOEFL (IBT) 80 (no score below 20) and PTE Academic 50 with no score lower than 42.
