Course summary

This program in economics/law enables candidates to acquire a versatile and relevant business and professional double-degree. The Sydney BEc provides a solid grounding in quantitative techniques and econometrics and is a specialist program that allows the completion of a major in economics or the more statistically based econometrics major. Economics at the University of Sydney is internationally renowned and is taught through a variety of theoretical perspectives. Its graduates have strong credentials for many specialist areas, such as economic and social research, business strategy, international trade, analysis of financial and commodity markets. There are a variety of employment opportunities, be they legal or not, that await students once they complete the Sydney Bachelor of Laws (LLB). If they want to become a legal practitioner, they must complete an accredited program of practical legal training once they finish LLB in order to receive admission as a legal practitioner.

Entry requirement for international students

Students must have an acceptable secondary qualification from their high school studies (or at least one year of tertiary studies). They must satisfy IELTS score of 7 IELTS score of 7.5 (min 7.0 in each band) or IBT score of 106 ((min 25 in writing and 24 in all other bands.
