Course summary
This program deals with the design, manufacture and maintenance of machine components and systems from small domestic products to highly complex vehicle and aerospace systems. The course will take them beyond the classroom in their final years, and they will be involved with industry-based projects and practical workshops. Graduates can find employment in the areas of automotive, aerospace, transport, power or manufacturing engineering, materials processing, appliance production, mechanical building services, mining and raw-material conversion.
Entry requirement for international students
Students should have either one of the following: Swinburne college English for Academic Purposes advanced level certificate at the pathways level (EAP 5: pathways - 60 per cent); obtaining a minimum IELTS overall band of 5.5 (academic module) with no individual band below 5.0; a TOEFL (paper-based) minimum score of 527 (with a test of written English (TWE) score of 4.5); a TOEFL (computer-based) minimum score of 196 (with written writing score of 4.5); a TOEFL (internet-based) minimum score of 71 with no band less than 18.
