Course summary
This course will prepare students with an understanding of human anatomy, biomolecular science, harmacology, dermatology, and clinical medicine and surgery. Students will also learn how to integrate aspects of podiatric surgery, physical therapy, rehabilitation and counselling into the patient interaction. Employment opportunities for podiatry graduates are excellent. In recent years the number of positions available exceeded the number of graduates. Podiatry graduates work in a broad range of health care setting including private practice, hospitals or community health centres.
Entry requirement for international students
Students must have knowledge in English (4, SA), Maths B (4, SA), and Chemistry (4, SA). They must also satisfy English language requirements, IELTS overall band score of 6.5 with no sub-band below 6.0; or TOEFL score of 90 with at least 20 in all bands (Internet Based).
