Course summary
This course prepares graduates to enter the computing industry work force as novice practitioners to develop software or to apply computing in human organizations. The graduate attains the technical knowledge of fundamentals of computer systems, programming languages, computer applications, and information systems. The graduate can enter the fields of software development and support, information systems development and support, or many other broad areas of choice in computing or general industry. Majors include information systems major and software development major. IT students typically work as programmers, network administrators/managers, systems or business analysts, and web designers/developers. Rewarding career opportunities in technology and management are available to students with this degree plus 3 - 5 years work experience.
Entry requirement for international students
International students whose native is not English should have the following English qualifications: Academic IELTS - an overall score of 6.5 with at least 6 in each component of the test; TOEFL (paper based test) - a score of 570 with TWE score of 4.5; TOEFL (computer based test) - a score of 230 with Essay score of 4.5 or TOEFL (internet based test) - a score of 90, with a minimum of 20 in all four sections.
