Course summary
This course is designed to produce safe and competent medical graduates who are sought after for internships in accredited training facilities in the Australian Capital Territory and elsewhere in Australia. Medical Sciences covers the scientific basis of modern medicine. The Population Health theme addresses the relationship between humans, their society and the environment. The Clinical Skills theme not only emphasizes skills concerned with communication, patient examination, simple clinical procedures and diagnosis but also the critical appraisal of research evidence to practice optimal patient care. Career Possibilities include Doctor, Medicine, or Surgery.
Entry requirement for international students
Student must have completed a Bachelor degree in any discipline is required to apply for graduate entry medicine at ANU. International students whose native is not English should have the following English qualifications: Academic IELTS - overall score of 7 with at least 6 in each component; TOEFL (paper based test) - a score of 600 with TWE score of 5.0; TOEFL (computer based test) - score of 250 with TWE score of 5.0 or TOEFL (internet based test) - score of 100, with a minimum of 22 in all four sections.
