Course summary
This course is presented in four streams; science in nursing, nursing and health, nursing practice and behavioural health science. These streams increase in depth and complexity throughout the course. Students studies will be centered on their clinical learning journey in the nursing practice stream and will be supported by relevant knowledge, skills and attitudes from the streams. In this context, their clinical experience time gradually increases throughout their course, culminating in ten weeks of supervised practice before students graduate. They will be exposed to a variety of clinical placements, ranging through primary health, rural and community, maternity and paediatric, medical and surgical, mental health/psychiatric, operating room and other nursing specialties. Entry requirement for international students
Students must have knowledge in Human Biology and Physical Sciences, and a good grounding in basic Mathematics is desirable. They must also satisfy the English language requirements such as IELTS (International English Language Testing System) Writing score of 6.0, Speaking score of 6.0, Reading score of 6.0, Listening score of 6.0, Overall band score of 6.5 and TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) paper based score of 570, Internet based (20 in each section) score of 80, minimum test of written English (TWE) 4.5 and CUTE (Curtin Uni Test of English) - C.
