Course summary
This course aims to provide the skills and knowledge for an individual to be a qualified cook in a supervisory role. Employment may be gained in many hospitality enterprises, including restaurants, hotels, clubs, pubs, cafes, cafeterias and coffee shops. It includes supervisory units in costing, food safety, occupational health and safety and basic accounting.
Entry requirement for international students
Students should complete Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery). Students should complete year 12 or its equivalent and if less, a demonstrated ability to succeed in the chosen course; they must be at least 18 years of age and satisfy English language proficiency level of IELTS score of 5.5 or higher. Students should undertake an interview with authorized AMI Education staff or a representative. Mature age students with relevant experience are welcome.
