Course summary
This qualification provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent as a manager in any hospitality functional area. This individual would possess a sound theoretical knowledge base and be able to use a range of specialised, technical or managerial competencies to plan, carry out and evaluate their own work and/or the work of their team. Work would be undertaken in various hospitality settings, such as restaurants, hotels, catering operations, motels, clubs, pubs, cafes and coffee shops.
Entry requirement for international students
Students must have successfully completed an Australian Year 11 of high school or approved equivalent international course. Students applying from assessment four level countries must have successfully completed an Australian Year 12 of high school or an approved equivalent international course. All students require a minimum English language of one of the following: IELTS (Academic) 5.5, TOEFL paper based test of 530 (TWE 3.5+), TOEFL computer based test of 197 (TWE 3.5+) and TOEFL internet based test of 71 with a minimum of 17 in all sections. AIC can recommend an English course to bring students up to the required English levels.
