Course summary
This program entails clinical training and the development of research skills in a specialist discipline which is a requirement to qualify for registration as a specialist in Australia and New Zealand. It aims to provide an avenue for qualified dentists to develop advanced clinical and research skills in a dental specialty in a format appropriate for the profession. The Doctor of Clinical Dentistry is a three-year full-time coursework degree combining advanced clinical training and research. This doctoral degree allows students to specialise in a chosen discipline which may lead to specialist registration with the Dental Board of Queensland. Specialty discipline study: Periodontology.
Entry requirement for international students
Students should have any one the following requirements: hold a bachelor’s degree in Dentistry or equivalent (5 year program); have a minimum of two years clinical experience; hold current registration with the Dental Board of Queensland; have an Honors degree; a graduate level diploma; have successfully completed the Primary Examinations of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons or equivalent or satisfactorily perform in an interview.
