Course summary
This degree provides an alternative to the traditional PhD for experienced counselling and psychotherapy practitioners. Areas of research include clinical speech pathology, clinical vision sciences, family therapy, occupational therapy, and prosthetics and orthotics.
Entry requirement for international students
Students must have completed an Australian Master's degree or Bachelor's degree with Honours at H1 or H2A level, or approved international equivalent, plus at least three years of relevant professional experience. They must also satisfy one of the following English language requirements: IELTS (Academic) minimum overall band score of 6.5 with no individual band score less than 6.0 or TOEFL Computer-based Test: a minimum score of 233 with a score of 5 in essay writing or TOEFL Paper-based Test: a minimum score of 575 with a score of 5 or more in the Test of Written English or TOEFL Internet-based Test: a minimum score of 88 with no individual score less than 22 or completion of the English for Further Studies Advanced Stage 5B certificate at PG (postgraduate) level available from the La Trobe University Language Centre or approved equivalent.
