Course summary
This course is designed for professionals such as academics, writers, producers or art directors with existing industry experience, who wish to further their critical and theoretically informed research capacity. It is offered in the areas of: Creative Writing, Design (New-Media). It is awarded for an original and significant contribution of merit achieved through a program of advanced research and study in a branch of learning in the creative arts, carried out under supervision.
Entry requirement for international students
Students for the award of Doctor of Creative Arts are normally required to hold a master level degree or a bachelors degree with at least Honours Class 2 Division I from a recognised higher education institution. Students who have completed a bachelors degree and have achieved by subsequent work and study a standard equivalent to at least Honours Class 2 Division I may also be considered. They must satisfy any one of the following English language requirements: IELTS (Academic) score of at least 6.0, with a minimum of 5.5 in all subtests; a TOEFL score (paper-based test) of at least 550, with essay score of 4; TOEFL score (internet-based test) of at least 76, with a minimum writing score 18 or successful completion of Direct Entry English Pathway, with a minimum grade of 65 percent.
