Course summary
In this course, students will be required to complete a set of core courses (80CP) designed to advance understanding and critical use of threshold concepts central to effective business administration in an international context. Students may complete a 80CP specialisation designed to advance their individual knowledge and competencies in areas of management relevant to their personal goals. Each specialisation provides additional insight that enables managers to interact in a cross-disciplinary role while building internal and external relationships and influencing resource allocation within the organisation. Students have the option of including the 40CP International exchange program if they have already completed 40CP of specialisation courses prior to articulating into the International MBA (Advanced) program. Specialisations include: Finance, General Management, Human Resource Management, Information Systems, International Business, Logistics and Supply Chain Management and Marketing Management. Griffith University awards credit for prior learning. Prior learning may relate to previous study undertaken at Griffith, another University, a training organization or TAFE. Students can apply to gain credit for prior learning by lodging a credit transfer application form. To assist with their application, Griffith's Credit Precedent Database will give them a guide to the credit that they may be entitled to by listing equivalent courses in which the University has previously awarded credit.
Entry requirement for international students
Students should satisfy a minimum English language requirements, a minimum score of 550 on TOEFL or a computerised TOEFL score of 213 or an internet-based (iBT) TOEFL score of 79 (no score less than 19) or a minimum overall band score of 6.0 on IELTS (Academic) with no sub-score of less than 5.5 or no score less than three in each skill of the ISLPR and English test results must be no more than two years old. They must have completed Year 12 of secondary school or equivalent academic achievement. They must have prerequisites of English (4SA).
