Course summary
This course is intended for Australian and overseas language teaching professionals who wish to develop a specialisation in the area of functional literacy for children or adults. This course is suitable for language professionals, working or aiming to work in the area of teaching, curriculum development, literacy education assessment and program evaluation, bilingualism, teacher training, policy development, management or community service where language and communication are critical issues.
Entry requirement for international students
Students must have completed a bachelor degree or equivalent from a recognised university. Students should also fulfil the following English language requirements: IELTS (Academic English only) score of 6.5 overall, with 6.0 in each section; TOEFL (paper based test) score of 580 overall, with 53 listening, 52 reading, 59 structure/written expression, 5.0 TWE; TOEFL (computer based test) score of 237 overall, with 19 listening, 19 reading, 25 structure/writing and TOEFL (internet based test) score of 92 overall, with 18 listening, 17 reading, 22 writing and 22 speaking.
