Course summary
This program is designed to provide entry into the landscape architecture profession. It has a unique emphasis on Canberra as a landscape laboratory where real-world projects and speculative design scenarios are critically interrogated and explored. This course combines design, research and professional industry experience as part of a focused curriculum. Students work in an interdisciplinary learning environment to understand and respond to the complex social, political and cultural implications of built environment design. Graduates of the course are equipped with a range of high-level technical, analytical, design and communication skills necessary to formulate solutions to contemporary challenges.
Entry requirement for international students
Students should have an undergraduate degree in landscape architecture from an Australian tertiary institution, or equivalent or a postgraduate degree in an allied field plus a minimum of two years relevant work experience in a related industry, and/or a portfolio demonstrating evidence of substantial professional practice. In addition they should have fulfilled English language requirements with minimum IELTS score of 6.5 (academic) or equivalent.
