Course summary
This course aims to provide training and skills development in commercial cookery and kitchen operations; an overview of commercial cookery methods and preparation of food; basic and advanced skills and knowledge for entry to and operation within the hospitality industry; interpersonal skills essential for a career in the hospitality industry. This course is particularly targeted at those people who: persons who are wishing to upgrade their existing skills to be able to effectively work within the Hospitality Industry as a chef. Persons who have been made redundant from the workforce and are wishing to make a career change and who are seeking to update their existing skill set to become chiefs.
Entry requirement for international students
Pre-requisites for entry into this course are: students must be over 18 years of age, they must have completed an overseas equivalent of Year 12 and they must have either an IELTS score of 5.5 or above or a TOEFL score of 550 or above and must provide documentation to that effect.
