Course summary
This course aims to provide: training and skills development in hospitality management, commercial cookery and kitchen operations; an overview of hospitality management and commercial cookery methods and preparation of food; advanced skills and knowledge for entry to and operation within the hospitality industry at a supervisory level; interpersonal skills essential for a career in the hospitality industry. This course is particularly targeted at those people who: persons who are wishing to upgrade their existing skills to be able to effectively work within the Hospitality Industry in the area of Hospitality Management. Persons who have been made redundant from the workforce and are wishing to make a career change and who are seeking to update their existing skill set.
Entry requirement for international students
Pre-requisites for entry into this course are: students must be over 18 years of age, students must have completed an overseas equivalent of Year 12. They must have either an IELTS score of 5.5 or above or a TOEFL score of 550 or above and must provide documentation to that effect. Students who have completed Certificate III / IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) from a Registered Training Organisation in Australia.
