Course summary

This program provides critical knowledge and skills for individuals to manage business operation efficiently. It also aims to develop students in their strategic thinking and analytical abilities which are essential for the new bleed of managers and executives. Students would be able to identify and analyze business problems, formulate plans and policies from a strategic perspective, and implement them effectively. In addition, the program cultivates a global perspective on how international business is conducted, creates an awareness of potential business opportunities, and the impact of globalization on management functions. Melior Advanced Diploma in Business Administration will give the graduates a head-start in business administration and management in today's highly globalized economy.

The modules are as follows: ACT301 Financial Accounting, ACT302 Managerial Accounting, BIS201 Business Communications, BIS301 Entrepreneurship, ECN201 Microeconomics, ECN301 Macroeconomics, FIN301 Finance, ISE201 Business Information Systems and E-Commerce, LAW301 Business Law, MGT201 Principles of Management and Organisational Behaviour, MGT202 Operations Management, MGT203 Human Resource Management, MKT201 Principles of Marketing, MKT301 Marketing Mix Management, SAT201 Business Statistics, Intern I and Intern II (Optional).

Entry requirement for international students

Applicants must possess 4 GCE ‘O’ level passes; or equivalent. For Advanced Standing they should hold a Diploma in Business Administration from MIC or relevant Diploma or higher Diploma from other recognized institutions will gain exemptions of up to nine modules. International students must have completed secondary education/undergraduate degree via the medium of English; or have obtained GCE ‘O’ level pass in English at the standard of ‘C6’ or better; or GCE ‘A’ level pass in English at the standard of ‘D’ or better; or SPM pass in English at a standard of ‘6’ or higher (Malaysia); or STPM pass in English at a standard of ‘8’ or Higher (Malaysia); or successful completion (within the last 10 years) of a tertiary qualification where English was the language of instruction; or TOEFL overall paper based score of 500; overall computer-based score of 173; overall internet-based score of 61 or IELTS overall band score of 5.0. Successful completion of Melior International College WILL English Program - level 5; or any other proof of English proficiency which are equivalent to the above qualifications is accepted.
