Course summary
This programme is specially designed to equip participants with effective managerial skills that are necessary for becoming efficient managers. The participants will be taught the knowledge that will enhance their decision making skills and their ability to carry out duties more effectively and efficiently in the challenging business world of today In addition, the course aims to impart the essential knowledge and pre-requisites needed for the participants to pursue a formal undergraduate education in business management. Students who successfully complete the programme will be awarded with the Advanced Diploma in Business Management awarded by MDIS and recognised by the University of Bradford, UK.
Program modules
The curriculum includes marketing management; business economics; production and operations management; financial management; business information systems; management of human resources; the practice of management.
Entry requirement for international students
Applicants must possess one of the following entry requirements: a full GCE ‘A’ Level certificate with 2 ‘A’ and 2 ‘AO’ passes; or diploma from MDIS or other recognised local/overseas polytechnics or professional institutes. Other equivalent qualification may be considered on a case by case basis. Applicants must also possess a C6 pass in English and Elementary Mathematics at GCE ‘O’ Levels. Those who do not meet the English requirements are required to sit and pass the English placement test conducted by MDIS; or to score a minimum of band 6 in IELTS conducted by the British Council; or to score 213 points (computer-based) or 550 points (paper-based) in TOEFL. Applicants without C6 pass in Elementary Mathematics will be required to take the Mathematics Entrance Test set by University of Bradford (UK) at MDIS.
