Course summary
This program gives students a solid education in the core disciplines in tourism and hospitality management and prepares students either to begin work in a tourism or hospitality business environment immediately upon completing the program; or to continue in a degree program in tourism and hospitality at a university. Students who have done the Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management Program will notice that there is a greater emphasis on the application of knowledge in this program rather than on just acquiring knowledge of the terminology, concepts and theories. The programme is delivered through lectures, tutorials and students are assessed through assessment such as quizzes, tests, class presentations, assignments.

Entry requirement for international students
Applicants must have 4 GCE ‘O’ level passes; or equivalent. For Advanced Standing they should hold a Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management from MIC and relevant Diploma or higher Diploma from other recognized institutions will gain exemptions of up to nine modules. International students should have completed secondary education/undergraduate degree via the medium of English; or GCE ‘O’ level pass in English at the standard of ‘C6’or better; or GCE ‘A’ level pass in English at the standard of ‘D’ or better; or SPM pass in English at a standard of ‘6’ or higher (Malaysia); or STPM pass in English at a standard of ‘8’ or Higher (Malaysia); or successful completion (within the last 10 years) of a tertiary qualification where English was the language of instruction; or TOEFLoverall paper based score of 500; overall computer-based score of 173; overall internet-based score of 61 or IELTS overall band score of 5.0. Successful completion of Melior International College WILL English Program - Level 5; or any other proof of English proficiency which are equivalent to the above qualification is accepted.
