Course summary
In this programme, graduates hold positions such as asset manager, trader, market operations manager, financial actuarial service manager, auditor and risk manager. They work in areas in which finance plays a major role (reinsurance, fund management, reserve fund evaluation, etc.) at insurance and portfolio management companies, consulting firms and major industrial or service companies. Career prospects for graduates of the programme include insurance positions (actuary, product designer, asset and liability manager), positions in portfolio management, insurance auditing, and industrial and commercial risk management. The asset management market is becoming increasingly globalized and segmented and requires new systems adapted to this new environment. Finance and financial engineering play an important role in this momentum. In-depth knowledge of market operations and financial products is now a precondition for working in this area. Whether for insurance companies, pension funds or individuals, asset and risk management needs are growing. In a little more than a decade, there has been a marked acceleration in globalization, technological advances and the inherent industrial risks, together with a significant increase in wealth, not just in the industrialized countries, but also in high-growth region such as Asia.
