Course summary
This course allows students to be equipped with one of the leading drawing software’s in the design industry. They will acquire the skills to design, draw and manage in the computer environment. This course enables students to produce compelling computer generated drawings and images to enhance individual professional portfolio. A certificate shall be issued upon successful completion of the course.
Program modules
The modules are Introduction to AutoCAD; Getting started with screen, toolbars and dimension setting; Organizing drawing with layers; Using drawing tools- line with relative and polar methods; Using object snap; Using modify tools - erase, copy, move, offset, rotate, trim and extend; Using draw tools - polygon, ellipse and rectangle; Using drawing tools - construction line, polyline, arc, donut, alpine, ranging and text; Using modify tools - explode, scale, lengthen, break, fillet, chamber and array; Drawing properties; Rendering with hatch tools; Making and inserting blocks; Importing images with raster image; Generating plan and elevation drawing; Generating construction drawing; Plot setting / Plotting to scale.
