Course summary
This course is designed to be highly relevant to current practices in an Asian context, combining a core of common business modules with a range of banking and finance related modules throughout the three years degree programme. The objectives are: choose and apply relevant techniques to solve routine and non-routine business problems in banking and finance sector; explain the broader contextual issues influencing the management of business organizations in the banking and finance industry; communicate effectively, including the ability to present quantitative and qualitative information together with relevant analysis and argument; Perform appropriate quantitative tasks accurately, including the manipulation of financial and other numerical data; apply and use communications and information technology skills, including the use of spreadsheets and word processing software, the Internet and e-mail; Work autonomously and as part of a team; utilise and apply banking and financial concepts in a business context; apply various research techniques to business situations and analyse relevant findings; assess and criticise current practices and developments in banking and finance; outline the main principles of banking and finance theory and analysis. The career options available as Credit Analyst, Investment Analyst, Business Development Managers, Loans Officer, Compliance Officer, Product Controller.

The modules include Enterprise Project, International Finance, Investment Management, Risk Management in Banking, Strategic Management.
Entry requirement for international students
Applicants must be at least 19 years of age and should have relevant EASBTM Advanced Diploma or relevant Polytechnic Diploma or an equivalent academic qualification, and they should demonstrate their proficiency in English language with minimum EASBTM / ETEDP Level 3 / IELTS score of 6.0 / TOEFL score of 550.
