Course summary
This course offers students to appreciate the diverse business environment and industry. The understanding of the production and consumption of business products and services as they take place; and an understanding of the management and organisation involved in the provision and consumption of the business products and services. The objectives are: to enable participants to acquire sufficient breadth of knowledge, deeper insights and greater understanding of the interdisciplinary areas of managing human resources productively in an organisation and to understand the labour legislation and industrial relations in Singapore; to provide participants with structured training for personal and career development; to provide participants an endorsement of their competence in attaining both academic and practical understanding of the various human resource management techniques, motivation and skill for managing and developing people as a value-added asset. Career in Business Management is an excellent preparation for top management positions as the Management function has become widely recognized as the driving force of modern businesses. Potential as a Business Manager, Business Practitioner / Adviser, Business Consultant, Business Director, Associate Business Manager, Business Associate in a Hospitality Industry, Multi-Chain of Business Retail, Public Service Administration, Banking Industry, Corporate Retail, Service Industry Setting, Business Services in a Large Conglomerate or Multi-National Corporations or Small and Medium Size Enterprises.

The modules include Continuity and Change in Contemporary Business, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, International and Strategic Marketing, Investment Management, People, Organisation and Society, Strategic Management.
Entry requirement for international students
Applicants must be at least 19 years of age and should have relevant EASBTM Advanced Diploma or relevant Polytechnic Diploma or an equivalent academic qualification, and they should demonstrate their proficiency in English language with minimum EASBTM / ETEDP Level 3 / IELTS score of 6.0 / TOEFL score of 550.
