Course summary

This programme provides students with an opportunity to develop valuable analytical and practical skills. It offers studies of management theory and practice combined with entrepreneurial themes and trends in emerging countries, behaviours, processes and skills and how these relate to new venture creation, corporate enterprise, social entrepreneurship and the management of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). It offers choice and flexibility, with the option to combine management and entrepreneurship with a second major from international business, hospitality management, marketing, and tourism management. It is to become a business leader and innovator with this cutting edge study program. It will provide students with the strong foundation in running their own business or becoming an entrepreneur.

Program modules

The courses are as follows: Accounting for Decision Making; Economics for Business; Managing the Customer Experience; Management, People and Organisations; Personal and Professional Skills in Business; Business Data Analysis; Electives: Business Negotiation; Managing Organisational Flexibility; Cross-cultural Management; Service Quality Management; Managing Small and Medium Enterprises; Entrepreneurship in Emerging Economies.

Entry requirement for international students

Applicants should have completed 12 years of schooling or equivalent. Successful completion of James Cook University Singapore foundation program will also satisfy the entrance requirement. There are different entry requirements from country to country. They must have IELTS 6.0 (no component lower than 5.5)/ TOFEL 550 (with a minimum written English text score of 4.0) and above; or satisfactory completion of the James Cook University English Language Preparatory Program (ELPP). Students who have successfully completed two years of full-time study in English medium may satisfy the English language requirement.
