Course summary

This programme aims specifically to educate nurses who are reflective about practice and have well developed clinical reasoning skills; understand that professional practice demands life-long learning; and have achieved the Australian Nursing Council Inc. (ANCI) competencies for registration as a nurse. The first year of study is completed in Singapore and the rest of the two years the students will complete in Australia. The programme of study includes nursing practice, challenges to body integrity, psychosocial science cognate, nursing research, nursing care in mental health disorders, contemporary issues in nursing enquiry.

Entry requirement for international students

The admission requirements include the successful completion of one of the following: Singapore GCE Advanced levels with a minimum attainment of two advanced levels, enrolled nurse certificate, STPM (Malaysia) Hong Kong advanced levels (HKALE) SATs (USA). Applicants for whom English is a foreign language must provide evidence of their English Language proficiency. A score of C or better in Singaporean, Malaysian or British GCE 'O' level English. An overall band score of 6 or better in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic. Students should have attained a score of 550 or better in the Test of English as a foreign Language (TOEFL) or 213 in computer-based TOEFL. A score of C or better in the HKCEE is also required.
