Course summary
This programme is designed to equip teachers and care-givers with the necessary knowledge and skills to work with infants and toddlers. It is specially-designed programme explores key principles and practices that will enable teachers and care-givers to focus on how to nurture and support infants' development from two to 18 months. At the end of the programme, students also gain the knowledge required for the practical operation of infant and toddler care programmes in line with the licensing requirements and standards set by MCYS. At the end of the course, students will be able to: acquire knowledge and skills in the development of infants and toddlers from two months to 18 months old; provide safe and learning environments conducive for infants and toddlers; demonstrate understanding of the roles and responsibilities of an infant educarer. Students who successfully complete all modules will be awarded the Certificate in Infant and Toddler Care and Development by Asian International College.

The modules include Principles of Infant and Toddler Development (20 hours), Infant and Toddler Curriculum (25 hours), Environmental Design for Supporting Infant/Toddler Programmes (15 hours), Safety, Health and Nutrition (30 hours), Working with Families (10 hours), Practicum (60 hours).
