Course summary
This course will help participants: understand grief and loss; learn how to respond to various stages of loss; apply the techniques of grief counseling to clients; apply grief counseling in family systems. In the course of counselling, students may come across clients, whose loved ones have passed away or who experience other kinds of losses. This training will equip with the necessary knowledge about grief and losses, as well as enabling to make appropriate assessment and intervention plans for clients. This course is suitable for all counsellors, healthcare workers, social workers, psychologists, teachers and principals, pastoral staff, and people involved in the helping profession. Participants who meet 75 per cent class attendance will be awarded a Certificate of Accomplishment by the Academy of Human Development.
