Course summary
The Diploma in Banking, Securities and Investment Management, jointly offered with Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI), provides an intricate perspective on a wide spectrum of disciplines, covering the financial and banking industry. It equips students with high valued, transferable knowledge and skills that will prove to be very useful in the fast growing Singapore economy, as well as worldwide. It consists of eight subjects. Graduates can then move on to pursue Advanced Diploma in Management, if required, and to the bachelor degree programs with one of the prestigious partner universities in Singapore.
Program modules
The subjects covered are: Elements of Economics, Business Statistics, Principles of Management, Rules and Regulations for Financial Advisory Services, Business Accounting, Introduction to Securities and Investment (International), Operational Risk, International Certificate in Investment Management.
Entry requirement for international students
Applicants should have completed GCE 'A' levels, Higher NITEC, Year 12 or equivalent qualifications; GCE ‘N’, ‘O’, ‘A’ level, NITEC holders and minimum Year 9 or equivalent qualifications may be required to take 3 modules in the Certificate in Foundation Studies before the start of the Diploma; English proficiency may be considered sufficient and an IELTS score may not be required if applicant possesses a diploma from a recognised institution where English was the sole medium of instruction. Otherwise, minimum IELTS score of 5.5 or equivalent is required.
