Course summary

This programme is innovatively designed to cater the global demands of the engineering field. It focuses on the overall discipline of Computer Engineering which covers the technological and design aspects of computing. Students would be able to understand the working and design of various electronic devices and circuits. Graduates can progress on to the Higher Diploma in Computer Engineering or can seek employment as Programmers, Hardware Technicians and Trainee Software Engineers.

Program modules

The modules covered are Introduction to Programming, Advanced C Programming, Digital Logic Design, Engineering Mathematics, Discrete Mathematics, Electronic Devices, Electronic Circuits and Fields, Introduction to Communication Systems, Introduction to Microprocessors, Systems Analysis and Design.

Entry requirement for international students

Applicants should be minimum 16 years of old. Also they should have attained GCE 'O' Levels (minimum three passes at C6 credit including English language min. D7) or full GCE 'N' Levels (minimum five passes at C6 credit including English language min.D7) or ITE/NITEC, Higher NITEC or have completed Foundation in Business Studies awarded by FTMSGlobal Academy; any other equivalent qualification would be considered on a case by case basis or for matured entry route applicants should be minimum 21 years old with four years of secondary education or equivalent or with minimum 1.5 years of working experience. They are also expected to have intermediate level 2 of Professional Certificate of English awarded by FTMSGlobal Academy or equivalent or IELTS score of 5.0/TOEFL (paper-based) > 500 or TOEFL (computer-based) > 173; any other equivalent English qualifications.
