Course summary
This program trains future corporate managers and directors from all over the world, developing their capacity to innovate and create by fostering openness of mind, team spirit, and responsible behavior. During the ESSEC MBA, students can define their professional goals thanks to a wide choice of electives and experiences, with approximately 200 electives taught in French or English. The curriculum also requires international experience and professional experience.
Program modules
Core courses: Financial Accounting, Management Control, Management Economics, Principles of Finance, Organizational Behaviour, Marketing Management, Strategy and Management, and Information Systems Management; electives courses: Accounting and Management Control, Business Law, Economics, Finance, Management, Information and Decision Systems, Logistics, Production and Services, Marketing, Urban and Real Estate Management; modern languages courses (2 to 4 courses): Arabic, Brazilian, Chinese, English, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Russian, Spanish.
Entry requirement for international students
Applicants must hold degrees equivalent to a master's degree and these may be degrees in engineering, degrees from business schools, degrees in medicine, pharmacy, veterinary science, law, architecture, etc., or a bachelor's degree with three years of professional experience. Other applicants with unusual backgrounds or quality career paths (master 1 for French students and bachelor for international students) will also be examined as special cases (acceptance not to exceed 30 per cent of total student body). Selection is based on an exceptional academic record and/or professional career, high potentials, and strong motivation to pursue this advanced master. In addition to the mother tongue and English, knowledge of a third language is required. Applicants to be considered for admission must demonstrate their proficiency in English with a TOEFL or TOEIC or IELTS score results; management aptitude test GMAT or TAGE-MAGE. They are required to present a score of English applicants native English speakers or who have pursued three years of graduate studies in English, or who have lived or worked three years in an English speaking country.
