Course summary
This programme is designed for students to refresh, expand, and strengthen their grounding in the fundamental disciplines of business so that students are better equipped on the job and in the future. They will also gain the business tools and analytical thinking to be able to put everything together - the economics of HR, the financial business case, writing skills, brand strategy, negotiation techniques and more. This concentration will help students develop additional frameworks that enhance or complement their experience. It will be useful for students who are interested in taking their careers in a new direction. Earning a concentration also signals their in-depth knowledge to employers and colleagues. This finance concentration describes how businesses raise the capital they need to start and sustain themselves, decide which projects make financial sense, and manage risks; how people invest in companies; and how financial markets work - how an economy allocates money to where it will have the most value.
Entry requirement for international students
Students should have completed bachelor's degree and however, exceptions have been made with students who have displayed an impressive professional and/or personal track record. Students are expected to remain employed full time while in the programme. However, the school encourages all students to take the GMAT and submit their scores, particularly those who have fewer years of work experience, or those who feel their prior academic work does not adequately demonstrate their abilities. A high level of English proficiency is required for the program and they will assess a student's English proficiency level from his/her completed application, as well as during the in-person interview. Dependent upon these results, students may be requested to take the TOEFL exam. The minimum TOEFL score required for admission depends on whether students take the computerized, Internet-based (IBT), or paper exam. The TOEFL IBT minimum score is 104, computer test minimum score is 250 and paper test minimum score is 600; the minimum IELTS score is 7.
