Course summary
This programme is specially designed to enable a child care assistant to play a valuable and supporting role in assisting the child care teacher in the classroom management and supervision of children. At the end of the course, students will be able to: acquire knowledge and skills in the growth and development of the child; meet and respond to the basic needs of children; plan and deliver quality programs and experiences for young children; provide a stimulating and safe environment for young children; demonstrate understanding of the roles and responsibilities as a caregiver. Students who successfully complete all modules will be awarded the Fundamentals Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education by Asian International College.

The modules include Module 1: Child Development and Guidance; Module 2: Creative Approaches to Caring and Learning; Module 3: Safety, Health and Nutrition; Module 4: Professional Development; Module 5: Working with Families; Module 6: Supervised Teaching Practice.
