Course summary

This programme investigates issues involved in managing across borders. It examines how multinational enterprises achieve and sustain competitive advantage in an interdependent global economy. International management draws on business strategy, other functional areas of management and contextual studies of particular regions and countries. For those already a few years into a career, there is every possibility that business or management experience will gain them entry into a master’s level management degree program that will put them in line for a top management position. Upon successful completion of the first three courses, students may request for the ‘Graduate Certificate in Management. Graduates choose from a broad spectrum of occupations including administration manager, economics advisor, quality manager, accountant, human resources manager, marketing manager, logistics manager, purchasing and materials manager.

Entry requirement for international students

Applicants must have a bachelor degree in any discipline from an Australian university or college, or equivalent; or a CQUniversity Graduate Certificate in Management, or equivalent. They should have completed secondary education/undergraduate degree via the medium of English. They must possess GCE ‘O’ level pass in English at the standard of ‘C6’ or better; or GCE ‘A’ level pass in English at the standard of ‘D’ or better; or SPM pass in English at a standard of ‘6’ or higher (Malaysia); or STPM pass in English at a standard of ‘8’ or higher (Malaysia); or successful completion (within the last 10 years) of a tertiary qualification where English was the language of instruction. They can either have a TOEFL overall paper based score of 500; overall computer-based score of 173; overall internet-based score of 61 or an IELTS overall band score of 5.0. They should have successful completion of Melior International College WILL English Program - Level 5; or any other proof of English proficiency which are equivalent to the above qualification is accepted.
