Course summary

In this course students have the opportunity to apply Information Technology and create wonders in many organisations in various industries. Apply for this course and learn how to install, operate and maintain computer network systems or perform simple multimedia development for different distribution media. They acquire knowledge and skills which are highly relevant to the industry: service computers and hand-held devices, support computer network, support corporate network servers, set up network security, publish digital content for the Web, develop rich interactive applications, support software project development and author motion graphics. This course is mainly focused on Network Technology specialisation.

Entry requirement for international students

Students must have completed GCE 'O' level grades in English language, mathematics and one other subject with grades 1 - 8 in English language, grade 1 - 7 in mathematics (elementary or additional) and grade 1 - 8 in an approved science subject; or they should have passed the GCE 'N(A)' level passes in English language, mathematics and three other subjects with grades 1-4 in English language, grade 1-4 in mathematics and grade 1-5 in three other subjects with a total of 19 points or less for English, mathematics and three other subjects. GCE N(A) school leavers who applied during the January intake under the Direct Entry Scheme will undergo 10 weeks of preparatory programme followed by two years of Higher Nitec training. Students applying for these courses must ensure that they do not have colour appreciation deficiency.
