Course summary

In this programme, students will study contemporary principles and standards of critical reasoning and management and develop the skills to operate effectively in the international business community, with cross-cultural sensitivity and awareness. This programme is fully taught by faculty members from the university. In partnership with The University of Newcastle, Australia, the School of Business is offering another MBA for study at PSB Academy. The Faculty Staff at The University of Newcastle, Australia have been awarded national and international prizes for teaching, creativity, research and scholarship and have held visiting scholar positions at the world’s foremost institutions.

Program modules

The modules include: Management and Organisational Behaviour, Cross Cultural Negotiation and Management, Economics of Competitive Advantage, International Business Environment, Foundation of Marketing Theory, Accounting and Financial Management, Operations and Supply Chain Management, Entrepreneurship, Corporate Governance and Social Responsibility, Strategic Management, Principles of Leadership, Corporate Finance.

Entry requirement for international students

The entry requirements for local students are: a recognised bachelor degree or postgraduate diploma or a recognised graduate certificate; or a recognised diploma and two years work experience (subject to assessment from university); a GMAT score of 550; or successfully completed 20 units of postgraduate University studies with a GPA of 5 or more and two years work experience; or successfully completed 30 units of postgraduate University studies with a GPA of four or more and two years work experience; or an applicant for a place at the University of Newcastle who does not speak English as a first language must demonstrate that they meet the University's English proficiency requirement. Students whose first language is not English are required to demonstrate the English proficiency by obtaining an IELTS academic score of 6.5 (no sub-band less than 6.0); paper-based TOEFL test score of 550 with a Test of Written English (TWE) of 4.5; internet-based TOEFL test score of 93 with no subtest score less than 21.
