Course summary

This course helps students to be a professional in installing, testing, servicing and commissioning of the hardware and infrastructure for a wireless LAN. They acquire knowledge and skills gained which are highly relevant to the industry. Students learn to check the condition and characteristics of basic electronic components, construct electronic projects to given specifications, test, service and repair common electronic equipment and the control system of machinery, set up wired and wireless LAN , perform wireless LAN maintenance and monitoring., enforce the security of wireless LAN and perform simple troubleshooting of wireless LAN.

Entry requirement for international students

Students must have a GCE ‘O’ level grades in any two subjects with grades 1-8 or GCE ‘N’ level passes in English language and two other subjects with grades A - D or 1 - 5.
