Course summary

This course provides students the first line and planned maintenance and undertake servicing work on air-conditioning systems, fire fighting and fire protection systems. The graduates are employed by companies providing building management and maintenance services. Some of the job titles held by Nitec in Facility Technology (Mechanical and Electrical Services) graduates include building maintenance technician, building services technician and air-conditioning engineering technician. There are excellent opportunities for career advancement to supervisory positions and beyond. The challenge is for students to prepare themselves by upgrading their technical skills and knowledge through higher-level courses.

Entry requirement for international students

Students need to have completed GCE 'N' or GCE 'O' level. They must ensure that they do not suffer from colour-appreciation deficiency.
