Course summary

This programme encompasses all activities an organization carries out to transform inputs into value for the customer. Operations management is the design, management, and improvement of all value adding processes in an organization that lead to some form of output, whether it be a product or a service. These processes span a broad range of activities surrounding the issues of design, procurement, manufacturing and delivery of products and services. This programme is mainly focused on Technology and Operations Management specialisation.

Entry requirement for international students

Applicants should have completed a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) from an accredited university. Applicants with a weak mathematical background will be encouraged to undertake remedial math work before entering the programme. They must have official GMAT score of 700, GRE score of 800 and TOEFL score of 110.

Venue description

INSEAD Asia Campus is situated in the new One North zone of Singapore the up and coming knowledge and research hub, and only 25 minutes from the airport and 10 minutes from the financial district. The campus comprises 19,000m2 of amphitheatres, working spaces, library, offices, restaurant, bar and residential space. INSEAD has received accreditation from AACSB International (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, based in the US) and reaccreditation from EQUIS, the accreditation arm of the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD). The Tanoto Library has 60 seats equipped with network connection capability and 12 common access computers. Within the library are 3 discussion rooms equipped with DVD players and TV sets that can be booked for group use. The library's collection consists of 13,000 books, 23 international newspapers, reference books and INSEAD cases and working papers. The Library's electronic resources collection provides access to over 4000 e-journals, as well as a variety of databases published by the main business information providers, such as Business Source Complete, Factiva, Thomson One Banker, JSTOR, and Science Direct.

The INSEAD Residences offers 85 rooms for short stays and is situated right next to the campus and just 10 minutes away from 'The Shoppers Paradise' on Orchard Road. Room availability is on a first come first serve basis and is based on Executive Programme bookings. The rooms measure about 22 square meters, having a large work desk and are strictly non-smoking. They are equipped with broadband connections, a queen-sized bed and duvet, a personal safe, hairdryer, bathrobe with slippers and a full Mini Bar set up. The Fitness Centre is accessible 24 hours daily and normal/express laundry and dry cleaning services are also available at Residences. The Residences' Bar, located in the Lobby, is open every night from 1715 - 2300 hrs. The Residences' Front Desk is open 24/7 to provide Concierge/Info services and cater to all personal needs for example, taxi/transfers, postal/courier, luggage storage facility and many more.

The INSEAD Europe Campus is located on the edge of the Forest of Fontainebleau and just a stone’s throw away from the town centre. It lies within easy reach of all major airports and rail systems connecting Paris with the rest of the world. The campus has 23 auditoria and six flat classrooms that can seat over 2,150 people at any one time, as well as 130 specialised group work areas situated all around the campus. All teaching rooms have a variety of projection devices, white boards, PC access and microphones, and over 900 workstations enable easy access to the school network at anytime from anywhere on campus. It is also have a fully equipped gym facility, a campus bookstore, postal and courier services, a licensed bar and a self-service restaurant that offers a wide variety of cuisine from around the world.
