Course summary
Students will learn how to analyse a wide variety of different forms of writing, from non-fiction and media texts to literary works, including Shakespeare. Emphasis will be placed on helping them to develop the quality of their writing. They will be taught how to write essays which are well structured and articulate and they will practise the related skills of planning and note taking. Creative writing and Speaking and Listening are enjoyable parts of the coursework.
