Course summary
The School offers a 4-year-plus-1-year sequence combining the Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science and the Master of Science in Interdisciplinary Ecology. This program leaves the existing Bachelor's degree requirements intact, except that eligible students substitute up to 9 semester hours of graduate courses for undergraduate electives, as specifically approved by the School. These graduate courses are double-counted toward the 36 credits required for the Master of Science (with thesis) or the 38 credits required for the Master of Science (non-thesis) in Interdisciplinary Ecology, which can be completed in one year (three or four semesters) beyond the bachelor's degree.
Entry requirement for international students
Minimum requirements include a bachelor's degree or Master's degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution or a comparable degree from an international institution, a minimum grade average of B for all upper-division undergraduate work and scores that are acceptable for the program to which students are applying. They must also have acceptable scores on the General Test of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT). Students should contact the academic unit for specific program criteria, which will require them to submit such items as transcripts, recommendation letters, and more. International applicants should submit the English proficiency test scores (i.e.) TOEFL or IELTS.
