Florida Gymnasium was built in 1949, this 140,000 square foot facility houses faculty, departmental and dean offices, research laboratories, three full-length basketball courts, six 100-plus seat lecture halls, classrooms, reading room, and faculty and student locker rooms. The Florida Pool is an eight-lane, 50-yard outdoor facility that ranges in depth from 4.5 feet (1.4 meters) to 12.5 feet (3.8 meters). The pool is heated to 84 degrees during the winter months. Florida Pool is home to one of the largest academic diving programs in the nation. It also provides programming space for aquatic classes, recreational swimming, Living Well conditioning classes and sports clubs. Located at Yon Hall in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, Living Well offers current and former UF faculty and staff a fully-equipped fitness center, including: strength training, free weights, Med-X and cardiovascular equipment.

Accommodations are provided in traditional residence hall, suite-style, and apartment-style residential communities. The halls in the East Campus Residence Area are primarily of a 1950s vintage and are some of the most requested by incoming freshman. Very near all the halls in this area are an outdoor swimming pool, a series of tennis courts, and a large grassy area dubbed "Broward Beach" where students and residents meet to enjoy the sun. Gator Dining Service locations within easy walking distance to all East Campus Residence Halls are: Fresh Food Company, Beaty Market, Little Hall Shop, and Reitz Union Food Court. The halls in the West Campus Residence Area represent the widest array of campus housing facilities from traditional residence halls, circa 1950, to the newest apartment-style residences built in the 1990s through 2002. The West Campus Residence Area offers a lot of special interest housing including the International House at Weaver Hall and the Honors Residential College at Hume Hall. Gator Dining Service locations within easy walking distance to all West Campus Residence Halls, except Lakeside, are: Gator Corner Dining Center, Graham Oasis, and Reitz Union Food Court. The Department of Housing and Residence Education offers 5 different "Village Communities" for married couples, with or without children, single parent families and single graduate students. Accommodations range from one-bedroom apartments to efficiencies and townhouses.
