Course summary
This program is designed for students preparing for or advancing in careers such as vineyard management, pest management, fertilizer sales or irrigation management. On completion of this program, the student will; relate basic ideas and concepts in viticulture assess and relate the biology and ecophysiology of vines and grape berries, and describe the vineyard year and grapevines' yearly cycle of growth.

Entry requirement for international students
Admission to this college is opened for applicants possessing a high school diploma or the equivalent or any individual who is at least 18 years of age and capable of profiting from the instruction. International students with a TOEFL score of less than 475 paper-based, 153 computer-based, or 53 internet-based are required to take the Allan Hancock College English as a Second Language (ESL) assessment test for placement into the appropriate ESL classes before registering for classes. And those who with a score of 475 paper-based (153 computer-based) or higher on the TOEFL are required to take the Allan Hancock College START test for English placement.
