Course summary

The Adult Learning Certifcate and Master of Education degree enable those who teach, train, and adminster educational programs for adults to strengthen their skills and improve their practice. Students in the program: explore how adults learn; develop skills in a variety of teaching methods; plan and evaluate educational programs for adults such as workshops, conferences, training sessions, classes, and professional development programs; develop basic administrative skills; learn to use technologies to teach; explore ethical and social issues of adult education. Students in the program apply their course projects in a variety of settings such as: corporate training, law enforcement, adult basic education, continuing medical education, patient education, coaching, flight training, environmental education, educational administration and professional development for K-12 teachers.

Entry requirement for international students

The applicant must satisfy the following minimum requirements for admission: essay questions, two professional recommendations; Employer letter of support; personal resume; GMAT test score; Official college or university transcripts showing proof of baccalaureate degree. International Students must also provide the following material: Bank Statement; Proof of Visa status; English translation of transcripts with explanation of grading systems; Statement of financial responsibility; Recommended TOEFL score of 250 (computer-based test) or 600 (paper-based test) if English is not the native language; Transcripts or test scores are considered official when sent directly from the school or testing service.
